Account Clerk
Washington County is seeking to fill the part-time position of Account Clerk in the Bookkeeping Department. This position shall be an employee of Washington County reporting to the Accounting Supervisor of Accounts & Budgets. Job duties include performing intermediate clerical work in the area of accounting, i.e., answering telephone inquiries and directs to appropriate departments, assist in maintaining filing systems, create and maintain spreadsheets, entering data into computer system and additional related record keeping as required. A variety of reports are maintained by employees in this position, and a high degree of accuracy is required. Two years related clerical support experience required. Must be able to apply departmental policy in routine work situations, maintain accurate accounting records and generate reports through use of accounting procedures, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees as well as the general public.
