Financial Aid & Veterans Advisor
Responsibilities:
Assists prospective and current students and families with the completion of applications, verifications, approvals and FAFSAs
Communicates with veterans, dependents, prospective and current students in person, online and over the telephone
Submits veterans and dependent enrollments to the Department of Veterans Affairs for approval
Monitors enrollment and reports changes and status to the Department of Veterans Affairs through the VaOnce portal
Directs prospective and current students to the appropriate resources and staff needed to complete the entire FAFSA process
Assists financial aid staff with projects and tasks
Other duties as assigned
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with students, faculty & staff and other stakeholders important to the college
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Use Microsoft Office software, student information systems and other automated office equipment
Maintain a high level of ethics, professionalism and confidentiality in performance of all duties
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with students, faculty & staff and other stakeholders important to the college
A minimum of education and/or experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in business administration or related field
