Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic

Heavy Truck/Diesel Mechanic needed for a fast paced company in Bristol, VA.  Must have your own tools and be ASE certified.  Qualified applicant needs to have valid driver's license with the capability of getting Commercial Drivers Licenses if required. Job Duties include the following:

-Inspect and repair vehicles with diesel engines. Make repairs per state and federal emission regulations

-Working knowledge of electric, air and hydraulic systems.

-Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes.

-Knowledge of diagnostic computer programs with the ability to interpret diagnostics test results accurately

-Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans for management

-Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle operates correctly.

-Use power, machine and hands tools safely per OSHA Standards. 

-Follows all motor vehicles repair shop regulations and standards

-Job requires some potential overtime or weekend work hours.

Applicant must be able to pass a drug test. Compensation based upon experience.
