Main responsibilities
- Keep laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Record data in spreadsheets and present in graphical form
- Participate in ISO activities such as internal audits, management review meetings,
corrective actions
- Write reports, reviews and summaries
- Keep lab equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting
breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Maintain
calibration schedules.
- Document information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Complete projects by assisting project team; attending and participating in group and
project meetings.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading
technical publications.
- Perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support
scientific investigations;
- Collect and prepare specimens and samples;
- Record and, if applicable, interpret results to present and make recommendations to
management;
- Use computers and perform mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs;
- Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks.
- All other activities as directed by Technical Advisor.
Secondary responsibilities
- Perform viscosity measurements using a viscometer
- Perform flexural and tensile properties testing using a universal testing machine
- Perform thickness measurements on composites
Qualifications and training required
- At least 1 year of related work experience.

Work environment
- Must be able to lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Position will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, climbing and twisting in the performance of various tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended hours.
