Job Summary:
The Electrician specializes in the design, installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. The Electrician inspects electrical components and ensures building systems comply with safety regulations. The Electrician will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
- Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
- Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
- Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read electric wiring blueprints.
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally.
- Possesses advanced math skills.
- Must be capable of learning multiple jobs/being cross trained.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience:
- Technical or Vocational School Degree.
- 10 years’ experience working in an environment installing electrical wiring, panels, conduit or a similar job position.
- Current Electrician License
Physical Requirements:

- This position works on the production floor in a fast-paced environment.
- This position is exposed to dirt and dust, moderate noise levels and, on occasion, slippery floors (due to spills) or obstacles on the floor (due to the movement of products and supplies).
- This position is regularly required to work around moving material-handling equipment and moving equipment.
- This position will be regularly exposed to hot and cold environments when working in the plant.
- The position is required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on or around machinery.
- The employee is required to stand, walk/maneuver in work area, use hands to grasp or feel, reach with hands or arms, see, talk and hear.
- The employee is required to bend, twist, stoop, and climb stairs and ladders.
- The employee is frequently required to move or maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-Time Hourly (Non-Exempt) position starting at $40.00/hour. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
