Specific Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Perkins Innovation and Modernization LEAP Ahead Grant liaison with U.S. Department of Education’s designated program officer
- Provide leadership for the project’s direction and oversight of all related tasks to ensure that grant objectives and deliverables are being accomplished
- Ensure compliant and responsible fiscal management of grant funding
- Complete grant accountability requirements including but not limited to: U.S. Department of Education performance reporting, monitoring documentation, internal reports, etc.
- Ensure appropriate data collection and grant records are being developed and maintained in accordance with grant guidelines
- Provide oversight of all local dual credit functions, which include but are not limited to planning and implementing on-site and off-site testing, coordinating collaborative efforts between high school teachers and college faculty to improve testing outcomes, maintaining up-to-date dual credit database, and disseminating dual credit reports to appropriate stakeholders.
- Promote Career Academy efforts, including assisting with all CTE dual enrollment processes, which include but are not limited to scheduling, registration, placement testing, marketing, scholarship management, and providing supportive services to CTE dual enrollment students
- Host and support campus and regional events that promote early postsecondary opportunities (EPSOs), workforce development and career and technical education, including but not limited to Career Day, Dual Credit Day, and High School Counselors’ Workshop
- Identify and promote professional development opportunities employing strategies for assisting special populations of students
- Collaborate with academic departments’ leadership to develop professional development opportunities for CTE faculty members and ensure the purchase and delivery of grant-funded equipment
- Identify and promote student completion strategies for Associate of Applied Science and Technical Certificate programs of study
- Identify credentialing opportunities and promote those opportunities to key stakeholders
- Support Perkins Grant goals with a focus on developing and implementing strategies to increase enrollment and completion of students from underrepresented genders in technical programs of study.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Career and Technical Education.
Requirements of the Position
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Education – Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in grant management in an educational and/or non-profit environment
- Experience collecting and interpreting data to compile accurate grant reports
- Demonstrated progressively responsible experience successfully managing time-sensitive and highly detail-oriented projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including but not limited to email and phone correspondence, public speaking, and report and presentation development
- Proficient with the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
- Capable of managing time and workload to meet strategic planning, budgeting, and any other assigned deadlines
Preferred Skills
Preferred Education Requirements:
- Preferred education – Master’s degree
Preferred Experience:
- Two years’ professional experience specific to project management, event planning, fiscal management, and student advising
- Two years’ experience working in higher education or secondary education
- Effective, positive personnel, supervisory, or management skills
- Banner experience
This position is grant funded. Continued employment is dependent on grant funding.
Compensation: $35,852 - $44,815 annual salary dependent on education and experience.
