Regional Planner

The Mount Rogers Planning District Commission is seeking a Regional Planner.

Responsibilities are varied and include grant writing, grant administration, and state and federal reporting. Applicants must work independently and as part of a team with local, state, and federal partners, as well as the general public. Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, familiarity with principles of planning and economic development, creativity, consensus building ability, and strong interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Requires a bachelor's degree in planning or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Local and/or regional planning experience is preferred. Salary: $30,000-$42,000, with benefits, depending on qualifications.
