Housing Development Director
The Mount Rogers Planning District Commission is seeking a Housing Development Director. Responsibilities are varied and include planning and implementation of housing developments, management of construction projects involving multiple funding sources. Management of staff members and project teams including developers, contractors, and grant managers. Applicants should show written communication skills, familiarity with principles of planning and economic development, creativity, consensus building ability, and strong interpersonal skills. Applicants must work independently and as part of a team with local, state, and federal partners as well as the general public. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Requires a bachelor's degree in planning or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience in permitting such as building, inspection, E&S, and storm water is preferred.
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 with benefits DOQ.
