Founded in 1916, Sacramento City College (SCC) is a multi-campus, urban college that consists of a 70-acre main campus across from William Land Park. The College has two educational centers, one in Davis on the campus of the University of California, Davis, and one in West Sacramento located adjacent to the public library, community center, and civic center. Full-time, twelve-month employees receive 18 days of annual paid holidays, 15 days' vacation yearly (with increases after 5 & 10 years), and 8 hours of sick leave per month. Los Rios also offers professional development opportunities with the district and financial support and/or paid time off to complete external academic studies. You are eligible for the aforementioned benefits as a regular employee with a permanent assignment of 0.50 FTE or greater. To calculate this position's FTE, take the number of hours per week divided by 40, to get the percentage of hours worked. Then take the number of months worked divided by 12, to get the percentage of work year. Then take the percentage of hours worked multiplied by the percentage of months worked to get the position's FTE (e.g., a position that is 30 hours per week with a work year of 10 months: 30/40 = 0.75; 10/12 = 0.8333; 0.75 * 0.8333 = 0.625 FTE). Assignment Responsibilities

Provides audio/video (A/V) support for internal and external events as necessary. Assists faculty, staff, and administrators with audio/video related questions and problems. Receives, files and posts for delivery, equipment requests from the campus community. Transports, sets up, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots teleconferencing equipment, multimedia devices, televisions, monitors, projectors, recording equipment, speaker sets, digital cameras/camcorders, audio mixers, sound boards and other presentation equipment. Performs maintenance and repairs on media systems equipment and software. Assists staff with telecommunications network scheduling and programming; monitors automated network switching equipment; and coordinates the scheduling of distance education facility sites. Operates control consoles for interactive television classrooms; trains temporary staff, faculty and co-workers in the operation of distance education equipment. Installs equipment for multimedia classrooms; provide multimedia hardware/software and streaming expertise and production support. Assists with digital program production, satellite teleconferences, and digital videoconferences. Duplicates audio, video, and other media programs from original materials. Receives, inspects, tests, and labels all new equipment; maintains inventory records and files. Documents and tracks daily activities and status. Interviews, hires and oversees temporary staff. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Associate degree from an accredited institution in computer sciences, telecommunications technology, engineering technology, electrical engineering or closely related field (or completion of an equivalent certificate program) AND one year of experience directly related to job duties; OR, two years' experience directly related to job duties; OR, a combination of training and/or experience totaling three years that is likely to have provided the required level of knowledge and abilities.

(Experience Requirement: One year of experience is equal to 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week. Applicable part-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalent for purposes of meeting the experience requirement. Education Requirement: One year of education is equal to 30 semester units.)
