Job Summary
Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for the position of Adult Education Specialist II - College and Career Navigator. The College and Career Navigator will focus on the retention and referral of adult education students to improve program performance and support student outcomes. The Navigator will provide students with guidance and assistance toward a preferred postsecondary or career pathway by developing strategies to help students overcome barriers.

Job Duties:
Position responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Assist with intake, orientation, assessment analysis, and goal setting.
• Complete a written plan based on students preferred career pathway.
• Coordinate with instructional staff to monitor student progress.
• Meet with current students monthly and follow up with absent students.
• Identify student’s academic and non-academic barriers.
• Connect students to wrap-around services for basic needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or Counseling.
