What you will be doing:
- Responsible for development and implementation of the strategic plan and roadmap to fulfill the information technology, electronic delivery channel, and operational needs of the organization and membership.
- Responsible for aligning the technology vision and communication channels with business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies; developing and implementing initiatives within the organization; and providing direction in all technology related issues in support of information operations and core company values. Conducts research on emerging technologies; evaluates solutions and makes recommendations for implementation.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, management and continued improvement of the credit union's IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery contingencies.
- Responsible in promoting a best practices approach and model for technology operations, project execution, release management, service delivery, systems integration to deliver the highest quality services to internal and external members. Evaluates effectiveness of programs and offers solutions to enhance effectiveness;
- Ensures the development and implementation of the credit union's IT security policies, procedures, practices and staff awareness training.
- Leads the Information Technology Department staff as an inspiring leader in regards to recruiting and retaining top talent with responsibility for oversight of the Jovia's IT systems, including communications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Research, develop, and recommend strategies that support the strategic business plan and oversee various department managers to implement operating plans to support the strategic direction.
- Consult with all levels of management within the Credit Union to determine information technology requirements to guide the Senior Leadership Team in establishing priorities of new and existing projects and to discuss system capacity and capabilities.
- Collaborate with the management team to review project feasibility studies, establish work standards and work toward leveraging technology throughout the Credit Union.
- Oversight of the installation, maintenance and data processing of the credit union's core system while ensuring optimum uptime, best practice operations, and error-free processing.
- This individual is responsible for ROI improvement and finding new ways to help members and the organization benefit from how data is used while focusing on managing budgets and processes to eliminate or reduce costs.

What we need from you:
- College degree (Masters preferred) with a minimum of 15 years management experience in Technology.
- Strong banking industry knowledge preferred with an understanding of all related banking systems, regulations, vendors and strong strategic leadership required.
- Expertise in current and emerging technology platforms a must. Top-level communication skills are critical including experience in leading management teams and/or boards of directors towards a strategic technology vision.
- Must have experience leading a wide-scope of activities across the spectrum of technology and be an innovative thinker with knowledge of emerging infrastructure, banking and digital payments technology, data analytics, contract negotiations, change management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Willing to work flexible hours when required and willing to travel, if necessary, for business, educational, and disaster recovery purposes.
- Must be driven, confident, organized, and an accomplished problem-solver. They must possess strong verbal and written communication skills

- All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset)
