We are looking for a growth-oriented and innovative partner to lead our Facilities team, as Facilities Manager.
This position is full-time and you will plan, organize, and manage the maintenance and repairs of all facilities, grounds, park and ride lots, bus shelters and bus stops in the service area. You will be responsible for compliance with State, Federal, and local environmental and facility safety programs as well as develop short and long-term facilities goals and work programs.

Last November, the community overwhelming approved a ballot measure that will provide 40% more funding and will allow Intercity Transit to expand public transportation within the community. We are adding staff and investing in technology that will support more robust transit services, including bus rapid transit and innovative demand response programs. IT is nationally recognized and provides fixed route transit, ADA paratransit, and vanpool services to the communities of Lacey, Tumwater, Olympia, and Yelm. As a Facilities Manager, you will:
Supervise the facilities staff by prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring work activities and performance
Determine and allocate labor and equipment resources and supervise all facilities activities, repairs, and maintenance on equipment, buildings, bus shelters, and bus stops
Track work requests, labor, materials, and scheduled preventative maintenance
Ensure Agency standards of safety and security are met
Maintain and update HAZCOM program, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and chemical database; prepare and submit annual reports
Execute contingency plans and adapts operations for unexpected weather conditions, equipment failures, and emergencies
Respond to facility and emergency situations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Lead project coordination and oversight, evaluate proposals and bids, approve change orders and invoices and monitor compliance
Are you the one we are looking for?
You have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
You have 7 years of increasingly responsible facilities maintenance experience.
You have at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
You have a current, valid, drivers license or be able to obtain a valid Washington State drivers license by time of hire.
You are willing to submit to a criminal background investigation, the results of which must meet the agencys hiring criteria.
