POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform or assist in a wide variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work of city infrastructure. Tasks may include minor maintenance and repair on structures, facilities, streets, sidewalks, etc.; operation of light equipment and machinery. May provide traffic control at job sites. Employee performs all work according xto established safety standards and codes applicable to the work. The work remains subject to review and inspection. Employee performs related work as directed.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year related work experience and the ability to perform labor intensive work within all kinds of weather conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling and pushing of up to 50 pounds or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Occasionally may be required to work late hours, weekends, and snow or emergency response. Must possess a valid driver's license.
