The Director of Preconstruction is responsible for leading planning, design, engineering, drafting, estimating, business development, and pre-sale project management for Brickl Bros. projects. This position has the overall responsibility for the successful management and delivery of preconstruction services to our clients while meeting established quality, productivity, revenue, and profitability goals.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide strategy, vision, and business planning processes as a member of the Management Team
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of the Preconstruction team
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
• Lead preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations to clients
• Provide high-level budget guidance to new and existing clients
• Produce, review, and/or manage progress estimates at design milestones
• Manage client expectations, deadlines, and deliverables
• Review and manage project design process with client and design team
• Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness
• Plan and lead the preconstruction strategy on a project-by-project basis
• Review documents for constructability, cost saving opportunities and scope-change value-add
propositions to clients and design teams
• Manage the complete preconstruction process
• Manage the design-build trades through preconstruction process
• Ensure effective and complete project turnover from Preconstruction to Construction Operations

EDUCATION
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture or equivalent experience required


EXPERIENCE
Preferred: 10+ years' preconstruction experience working for a commercial general contractor or construction management firm
