Description
We invite applications for an Assistant Professor of Higher Education in the Department of Educational Leadership within Teachers College. The successful candidate will be an active researcher and provide high quality teaching in the graduate-level Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education (SAAHE) Master's program and the Higher Education Doctoral program.
Lifelong learning at Ball State University extends educational engagement beyond the classroom and includes learning for professional development, personal enrichment, or other goals throughout one's lifetime. Faculty will be expected to participate in the department's, college's, and university's lifelong learning opportunities when available and may be assigned teaching responsibility in this area as part of their overall responsibilities.
We seek candidates who will connect with students of diverse backgrounds and contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and inclusion. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in higher education, student affairs administration, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university by time of appointment. A well-articulated research agenda related to the field of higher education. Ability to teach courses in the field of higher education using a variety of instructional strategies. This position will include weekly face-to-face teaching in addition to online, experiential, and/or field-based assignments.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in higher education and an active research agenda and a publication record qualifying them to serve on doctoral committees.
