Job Title: Machine operator/ Utility
Reports to: General Manager
Pay Grade: Hourly, part time, full time
Summary: Machine operator / utility employee functions in a variety of job tasks meant to keep production flowing through our production machining facility. Operation of CNC equipment, unloading of delivery trucks, light assembly, deliver/ pickup from suppliers/ customers are all various tasks that could be assigned. Other responsibilities and tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior work experience operating manufacturing equipment, or experiences in similar manufacturing setting. Education: HS diploma or equivalent. Valid US driver’s license. Ability to lift and maneuver 35# workpieces and boxes. Experience with basic hand tools, measuring tools, construction techniques. Fork truck experience preferred. Blue print reading experience preferred. Must pass pre-employment Drug Screen and Background check. Must be able to pass a basic mechanical knowledge test
Description of Job duties:
-Enthusiastically upholds company mission and vision. Demonstrates commitment to team work by a willingness to do any job assigned.
-Responsible for loading and unloading material from pieces of automated equipment. Cleaning, washing, deburring of workpieces
-Light assembly work
-Responsible for quality aspects of work: Measuring, inspecting, handling, visual appearance, and reporting non-conformities to management.
-Preparing packages for shipments, crates, shipping containers.
-Delivery of material to suppliers and customers locally, within established time periods.
-Responsible for preforming these duties in established time periods.
-Operation of fork truck for movement of material, unloading of trucks and movement of material into the building in a safe manner to avoid damage to property and safety of employees.
-Keeping workplace neat, orderly, clean and abiding by all company guidelines and rules for workplace housekeeping.
-Abide by all safety requirements of facility
